It has helped create new product and services and changed the way in which these are delivered. The speed with which transaction are settled has also increased manifold therefore reducing the time taken to service customer. For customers technology has made financial products and services more affordable and accessible. Further, it has increased the variety of products and services available in the market.

This module will aim at helping you to understand the IT/ITES industry and it's growth in india. It will also explain how BPO/BPM is connected to IT? ITES industry to serve the growing customer of technology.

What is IT?

Information technology ( it) is the application of the computer to store, study, retrieve,transmit and manipulate data, or information and communication technology (ICT). The application of computers and telecommunications equipment to store, transmit, retrieve, and manipulate data,in context of business or an enterprise.
